Farah Innocent has been passionate about hair since a young age. On her 21st birthday, she made a promise to herself — to become a professional hairstylist. Fifteen years later, that promise has evolved into a lifelong dedication to helping others embrace and celebrate their natural beauty.
In her early years as a natural hair stylist, Farah did it all — from retwists and braids to ti-kouris, extensions, and twists. Over time, her deep love for locs grew, along with the realization that there was a lack of education, resources, and representation for loc care within the Montreal hair industry.
In 2019, she founded L’ABC Des Locs, a salon fully dedicated to locs care, maintenance, and education. Her mission is to give this unique and powerful hairstyle the visibility, versatility, and recognition it deserves. For Farah, locs are more than just a style — they’re a form of self-expression, liberation, and love.
